Language points
它, the pronoun for animals and things
他 for a man, 她 for a woman, 它 for everything else: a cat, a table, the rain. All three are pronounced *tā* and are told apart only in writing. An owner very attached to a pet will sometimes write 他, as an English speaker might say "he" rather than "it"; that is a choice, not the rule.
又: again, and it has already happened
它又跑出去了: he has run off again. 又 is used of something that has happened one more time, so of the past. For a repetition still to come you need 再: 明天再来, come again tomorrow. Mixing the two is the commonest mistake at this stage, and it is heard at once.
Doubled names
豆豆 is one character repeated, and that is the ordinary Chinese way of naming a pet or a very small child: 毛毛, 圆圆, 乐乐. The doubling makes the name affectionate, like a pet name. Almost every panda in a Chinese zoo has one.
