Learn Chinese characters by their radical
Nearly every Chinese character is built around a smaller part, the radical, which tells you what the character is about: things made of wood carry 木, things that are said carry 讠. Learning characters one at a time means learning them at random; learning them by family means recognising fifteen at once.
In every grid the radical is painted red and the rest of the character black. That is all there is to see: the red part is the same throughout, the black part changes from square to square.
