Language points
了 tells, 过 attests
去爬山了 places the outing at a particular moment, this weekend. 去过一次 does not say when: it attests that the thing has happened at least once in a lifetime. The question 你去过吗 therefore expects an answer about experience, and 我去了 would not answer it. The negative separates them better still: 没去 for a fact, 没去过 for a whole life.
哪儿也没去: negating with a question word
Chinese does not say "nowhere" with a special word: it takes the question word, follows it with 也 or 都, and then negates. 哪儿也没去, to go nowhere; 什么都不想吃, to want nothing to eat; 谁也不认识, to know nobody. The same construction without the negative gives the universal: 什么都吃, he eats anything.
座, the measure word for what does not move
座 serves for mountains, bridges, buildings, cities: 一座山, 一座桥, 一座城市. It names what is set on the ground and stays there, which is why it is used neither for a tree (一棵) nor for a road (一条). Getting a measure word wrong does not make the sentence incomprehensible, but it is heard straight away.
