| 1 | 我儿，要留心我智慧的话语，侧耳听我聪明的言词。 | My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding: |
| 2 | 为要使你谨守谋略，嘴唇保存知识。 | That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge. |
| 3 | 因为淫妇的嘴滴下蜂蜜，她的口比油更滑。 | For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil: |
| 4 | 至终却苦似茵陈，快如两刃的刀。 | But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. |
| 5 | 她的脚，下入死地。她脚步，踏住阴间。 | Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell. |
| 6 | 以致她找不着生命平坦的道。她的路变迁不定，自己还不知道。 | Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them. |
| 7 | 众子阿，现在要听从我，不可离弃我口中的话。 | Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth. |
| 8 | 你所行的道要离她远，不可就近她的房门。 | Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house: |
| 9 | 恐怕将你的尊荣给别人，将你的岁月给残忍的人。 | Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel: |
| 10 | 恐怕外人满得你的力量，你劳碌得来的，归入外人的家。 | Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger; |
| 11 | 终久你皮肉和身体消毁，你就悲叹， | And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed, |
| 12 | 说，我怎么恨恶训诲，心中藐视责备， | And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof; |
| 13 | 也不听从我师傅的话，又不侧耳听那教训我的人。 | And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me! |
| 14 | 我在圣会里，几乎落在诸般恶中。 | I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly. |
| 15 | 你要喝自己池中的水，饮自己井里的活水。 | Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well. |
| 16 | 你的泉源岂可涨溢在外。你的河水岂可流在街上。 | Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets. |
| 17 | 惟独归你一人，不可与外人同用。 | Let them be only thine own, and not strangers' with thee. |
| 18 | 要使你的泉源蒙福。要喜悦你幼年所娶的妻。 | Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth. |
| 19 | 她如可爱的？？鹿，可喜的母鹿。愿她的胸怀，使你时时知足。她的爱情，使你常常恋慕。 | Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love. |
| 20 | 我儿，你为何恋慕淫妇，为何抱外女的胸怀。 | And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger? |
| 21 | 因为人所行的道，都在耶和华眼前。他也修平人一切的路。 | For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings. |
| 22 | 恶人必被自己的罪孽捉住。他必被自己的罪恶如绳索缠绕。 | His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins. |
| 23 | 他因不受训诲，就必死亡。又因愚昧过甚，必走差了路。 | He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray. |
