| 1 | 耶利米锁在耶路撒冷和犹大被掳到巴比伦的人中，护卫长尼布撒拉旦将他从拉玛释放以后，耶和华的话临到耶利米。 | The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all that were carried away captive of Jerusalem and Judah, which were carried away captive unto Babylon. |
| 2 | 护卫长将耶利米叫来，对他说，耶和华你的神曾说要降这祸与此地。 | And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, The LORD thy God hath pronounced this evil upon this place. |
| 3 | 耶和华使这祸临到，照他所说的行了。因为你们得罪耶和华，没有听从他的话，所以这事临到你们。 | Now the LORD hath brought it, and done according as he hath said: because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is come upon you. |
| 4 | 现在我解开你手上的链子，你若看与我同往巴比伦去好，就可以去，我必厚待你。你若看与我同往巴比伦去不好，就不必去。看哪，全地在你面前，你以为哪里美好，哪里合宜，只管上哪里去吧。 | And now, behold, I loose thee this day from the chains which were upon thine hand. If it seem good unto thee to come with me into Babylon, come; and I will look well unto thee: but if it seem ill unto thee to come with me into Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land is before thee: whither it seemeth good and convenient for thee to go, thither go. |
| 5 | 耶利米还没有回去，护卫长说，你可以回到沙番的孙子亚希甘的儿子基大利那里去。现在巴比伦王立他作犹大城邑的省长。你可以在他那里住在民中，不然，你看哪里合宜就可以上哪里去。于是护卫长送他粮食和礼物，释放他去了。 | Now while he was not yet gone back, he said, Go back also to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people: or go wheresoever it seemeth convenient unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a reward, and let him go. |
| 6 | 耶利米就到米斯巴见亚希甘的儿子基大利，在他那里住在境内剩下的民中。 | Then went Jeremiah unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah; and dwelt with him among the people that were left in the land. |
| 7 | 在田野的一切军长，和属他们的人，听见巴比伦王立了亚希甘的儿子基大利作境内的省长，并将没有掳到巴比伦的男人，妇女，孩童，和境内极穷的人全交给他。 | Now when all the captains of the forces which were in the fields, even they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poor of the land, of them that were not carried away captive to Babylon; |
| 8 | 于是军长尼探雅的儿子以实玛利，加利亚的两个儿子约哈难和约拿单，单户篾的儿子西莱雅，并尼陀法人以斐的众子，玛迦人的儿子耶撒尼亚和属他们的人，都到米斯巴见基大利。 | Then they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men. |
| 9 | 沙番的孙子亚希甘的儿子基大利向他们和属他们的人起誓说，不要怕服事迦勒底人，只管住在这地，服事巴比伦王，就可以得福。 | And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan sware unto them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you. |
| 10 | 至于我，我要住在米斯巴，伺候那到我们这里来的迦勒底人。只是你们当积蓄酒，油，和夏天的果子，收在器皿里，住在你们所占的城邑中。 | As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah, to serve the Chaldeans, which will come unto us: but ye, gather ye wine, and summer fruits, and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken. |
| 11 | 在摩押地和亚扪人中，在以东地和各国的一切犹大人，听见巴比伦王留下些犹大人，并立沙番的孙子亚希甘的儿子基大利管理他们。 | Likewise when all the Jews that were in Moab, and among the Ammonites, and in Edom, and that were in all the countries, heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant of Judah, and that he had set over them Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan; |
| 12 | 这一切犹大人就从所赶到的各处回来，到犹大地的米斯巴基大利那里，又积蓄了许多的酒，并夏天的果子。 | Even all the Jews returned out of all places whither they were driven, and came to the land of Judah, to Gedaliah, unto Mizpah, and gathered wine and summer fruits very much. |
| 13 | 加利亚的儿子约哈难和在田野的一切军长来到米斯巴见基大利， | Moreover Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were in the fields, came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, |
| 14 | 对他说，亚扪人的王巴利斯打发尼探雅的儿子以实玛利来要你的命，你知道吗？亚希甘的儿子基大利却不信他们的话。 | And said unto him, Dost thou certainly know that Baalis the king of the Ammonites hath sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to slay thee? But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam believed them not. |
| 15 | 加利亚的儿子约哈难在米斯巴私下对基大利说，求你容我去杀尼探雅的儿子以实玛利，必无人知道。何必让他要你的命，使聚集到你这里来的犹大人都分散，以致犹大剩下的人都灭亡呢？ | Then Johanan the son of Kareah spake to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly saying, Let me go, I pray thee, and I will slay Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and no man shall know it: wherefore should he slay thee, that all the Jews which are gathered unto thee should be scattered, and the remnant in Judah perish? |
| 16 | 亚希甘的儿子基大利对加利亚的儿子约哈难说，你不可行这事，你所论以实玛利的话是假的。 | But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said unto Johanan the son of Kareah, Thou shalt not do this thing: for thou speakest falsely of Ishmael. |
