| 1 | 扫罗家和大卫家争战许久。大卫家日见强盛。扫罗家日见衰弱。 | Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker. |
| 2 | 大卫在希伯仑得了几个儿子，长子暗嫩是耶斯列人亚希暖所生的。 | And unto David were sons born in Hebron: and his firstborn was Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; |
| 3 | 次子基利押（基利押历代上三章一节作但以利）是作过迦密人拿八的妻亚比该所生的。三子押沙龙是基述王达买的女儿玛迦所生的。 | And his second, Chileab, of Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite; and the third, Absalom the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur; |
| 4 | 四子亚多尼雅是哈及所生的。五子示法提雅是亚比他所生的。 | And the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith; and the fifth, Shephatiah the son of Abital; |
| 5 | 六子以特念是大卫的妻以格拉所生的。大卫这六个儿子都是在希伯仑生的。 | And the sixth, Ithream, by Eglah David's wife. These were born to David in Hebron. |
| 6 | 扫罗家和大卫家争战的时候，押尼珥在扫罗家大有权势。 | And it came to pass, while there was war between the house of Saul and the house of David, that Abner made himself strong for the house of Saul. |
| 7 | 扫罗有一妃嫔，名叫利斯巴，是爱亚的女儿。一日，伊施波设对押尼珥说，你为什么与我父的妃嫔同房呢？ | And Saul had a concubine, whose name was Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah: and Ishbosheth said to Abner, Wherefore hast thou gone in unto my father's concubine? |
| 8 | 押尼珥因伊施波设的话就甚发怒，说，我岂是犹大的狗头呢？我恩待你父扫罗的家和他的弟兄，朋友，不将你交在大卫手里，今日你竟为这妇人责备我吗？ | Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ishbosheth, and said, Am I a dog's head, which against Judah do shew kindness this day unto the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered thee into the hand of David, that thou chargest me to day with a fault concerning this woman? |
| 9 | 我若不照着耶和华起誓应许大卫的话行，废去扫罗的位，建立大卫的位，使他治理以色列和犹大，从但直到别是巴，愿神重重地降罚与我。 | So do God to Abner, and more also, except, as the LORD hath sworn to David, even so I do to him; |
| 10 | To translate the kingdom from the house of Saul, and to set up the throne of David over Israel and over Judah, from Dan even to Beersheba. | |
| 11 | 伊施波设惧怕押尼珥，不敢回答一句。 | And he could not answer Abner a word again, because he feared him. |
| 12 | 押尼珥打发人去见大卫，替他说，这国归谁呢？又说，你与我立约，我必帮助你，使以色列人都归服你。 | And Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, Whose is the land? saying also, Make thy league with me, and, behold, my hand shall be with thee, to bring about all Israel unto thee. |
| 13 | 大卫说，好。我与你立约。但有一件，你来见我面的时候，若不将扫罗的女儿米甲带来，必不得见我的面。 | And he said, Well; I will make a league with thee: but one thing I require of thee, that is, Thou shalt not see my face, except thou first bring Michal Saul's daughter, when thou comest to see my face. |
| 14 | 大卫就打发人去见扫罗的儿子伊施波设，说，你要将我的妻米甲归还我。她是我从前用一百非利士人的阳皮所聘定的。 | And David sent messengers to Ishbosheth Saul's son, saying, Deliver me my wife Michal, which I espoused to me for an hundred foreskins of the Philistines. |
| 15 | 伊施波设就打发人去，将米甲从拉亿的儿子，她丈夫帕铁那里接回来。 | And Ishbosheth sent, and took her from her husband, even from Phaltiel the son of Laish. |
| 16 | 米甲的丈夫跟着她，一面走一面哭，直跟到巴户琳。押尼珥说，你回去吧。帕铁就回去了。 | And her husband went with her along weeping behind her to Bahurim. Then said Abner unto him, Go, return. And he returned. |
| 17 | 押尼珥对以色列长老说，从前你们愿意大卫作王治理你们， | And Abner had communication with the elders of Israel, saying, Ye sought for David in times past to be king over you: |
| 18 | 现在你们可以照心愿而行。因为耶和华曾论到大卫说，我必借我仆人大卫的手，救我民以色列脱离非利士人和众仇敌的手。 | Now then do it: for the LORD hath spoken of David, saying, By the hand of my servant David I will save my people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies. |
| 19 | 押尼珥也用这话说给便雅悯人听，又到希伯仑，将以色列人和便雅悯全家一切所喜悦的事说给大卫听。 | And Abner also spake in the ears of Benjamin: and Abner went also to speak in the ears of David in Hebron all that seemed good to Israel, and that seemed good to the whole house of Benjamin. |
| 20 | 押尼珥带着二十个人来到希伯仑见大卫，大卫就为押尼珥和他带来的人设摆筵席。 | So Abner came to David to Hebron, and twenty men with him. And David made Abner and the men that were with him a feast. |
| 21 | 押尼珥对大卫说，我要起身去招聚以色列众人来见我主我王，与你立约，你就可以照着心愿作王。于是大卫送押尼珥去，押尼珥就平平安安地去了。 | And Abner said unto David, I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel unto my lord the king, that they may make a league with thee, and that thou mayest reign over all that thine heart desireth. And David sent Abner away; and he went in peace. |
| 22 | 约押和大卫的仆人攻击敌军，带回许多的掠物。那时押尼珥不在希伯仑大卫那里，因大卫已经送他去，他也平平安安地去了。 | And, behold, the servants of David and Joab came from pursuing a troop, and brought in a great spoil with them: but Abner was not with David in Hebron; for he had sent him away, and he was gone in peace. |
| 23 | 约押和跟随他的全军到了，就有人告诉约押说，尼珥的儿子押尼珥来见王，王送他去，他也平平安安地去了。 | When Joab and all the host that was with him were come, they told Joab, saying, Abner the son of Ner came to the king, and he hath sent him away, and he is gone in peace. |
| 24 | 约押去见王说，你这是作什么呢？押尼珥来见你，你为何送他去，他就踪影不见了呢？ | Then Joab came to the king, and said, What hast thou done? behold, Abner came unto thee; why is it that thou hast sent him away, and he is quite gone? |
| 25 | 你当晓得，尼珥的儿子押尼珥来是要诓哄你，要知道你的出入和你一切所行的事。 | Thou knowest Abner the son of Ner, that he came to deceive thee, and to know thy going out and thy coming in, and to know all that thou doest. |
| 26 | 约押从大卫那里出来，就打发人去追赶押尼珥，在西拉井追上他，将他带回来，大卫却不知道。 | And when Joab was come out from David, he sent messengers after Abner, which brought him again from the well of Sirah: but David knew it not. |
| 27 | 押尼珥回到希伯仑，约押领他到城门的瓮洞，假作要与他说机密话，就在那里刺透他的肚腹，他便死了。这是报杀他兄弟亚撒黑的仇。 | And when Abner was returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside in the gate to speak with him quietly, and smote him there under the fifth rib, that he died, for the blood of Asahel his brother. |
| 28 | 大卫听见了，就说，流尼珥的儿子押尼珥的血，这罪在耶和华面前必永不归我和我的国。 | And afterward when David heard it, he said, I and my kingdom are guiltless before the LORD for ever from the blood of Abner the son of Ner: |
| 29 | 愿流他血的罪归到约押头上和他父的全家。又愿约押家不断有患漏症的，长大麻疯的，架拐而行的，被刀杀死的，缺乏饮食的。 | Let it rest on the head of Joab, and on all his father's house; and let there not fail from the house of Joab one that hath an issue, or that is a leper, or that leaneth on a staff, or that falleth on the sword, or that lacketh bread. |
| 30 | 约押和他兄弟亚比筛杀了押尼珥，是因押尼珥在基遍争战的时候杀了他们的兄弟亚撒黑。 | So Joab, and Abishai his brother slew Abner, because he had slain their brother Asahel at Gibeon in the battle. |
| 31 | 大卫吩咐约押和跟随他的众人说，你们当撕裂衣服，腰束麻布，在押尼珥棺前哀哭。大卫王也跟在棺后。 | And David said to Joab, and to all the people that were with him, Rend your clothes, and gird you with sackcloth, and mourn before Abner. And king David himself followed the bier. |
| 32 | 他们将押尼珥葬在希伯仑。王在押尼珥的墓旁放声而哭，众民也都哭了。 | And they buried Abner in Hebron: and the king lifted up his voice, and wept at the grave of Abner; and all the people wept. |
| 33 | 王为押尼珥举哀，说，押尼珥何竟像愚顽人死呢？ | And the king lamented over Abner, and said, Died Abner as a fool dieth? |
| 34 | 你手未曾捆绑，脚未曾锁住。你死，如人死在罪孽之辈手下一样。于是众民又为押尼珥哀哭。 | Thy hands were not bound, nor thy feet put into fetters: as a man falleth before wicked men, so fellest thou. And all the people wept again over him. |
| 35 | 日头未落的时候，众民来劝大卫吃饭，但大卫起誓说，我若在日头未落以前吃饭，或吃别物，愿神重重地降罚与我。 | And when all the people came to cause David to eat meat while it was yet day, David sware, saying, So do God to me, and more also, if I taste bread, or ought else, till the sun be down. |
| 36 | 众民知道了就都喜悦。凡王所行的，众民无不喜悦。 | And all the people took notice of it, and it pleased them: as whatsoever the king did pleased all the people. |
| 37 | 那日，以色列众民才知道杀尼珥的儿子押尼珥并非出于王意。 | For all the people and all Israel understood that day that it was not of the king to slay Abner the son of Ner. |
| 38 | 王对臣仆说，你们岂不知今日以色列人中死了一个作元帅的大丈夫吗？ | And the king said unto his servants, Know ye not that there is a prince and a great man fallen this day in Israel? |
| 39 | 我虽然受膏为王，今日还是软弱。这洗鲁雅的两个儿子比我刚强。愿耶和华照着恶人所行的恶报应他。 | And I am this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah be too hard for me: the LORD shall reward the doer of evil according to his wickedness. |
