| 1 | 属约瑟的儿子玛拿西的各族，有玛拿西的玄孙，玛吉的曾孙，基列的孙子，希弗的儿子西罗非哈的女儿，名叫玛拉，挪阿，曷拉，密迦，得撒。她们前来， | Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah. |
| 2 | 站在会幕门口，在摩西和祭司以利亚撒，并众首领与全会众面前，说， | And they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying, |
| 3 | 我们的父亲死在旷野。他不与可拉同党聚集攻击耶和华，是在自己罪中死的。他也没有儿子。 | Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves together against the LORD in the company of Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons. |
| 4 | 为什么因我们的父亲没有儿子就把他的名从他族中除掉呢？求你们在我们父亲的弟兄中分给我们产业。 | Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father. |
| 5 | 于是，摩西将她们的案件呈到耶和华面前。 | And Moses brought their cause before the LORD. |
| 6 | 耶和华晓谕摩西说， | And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, |
| 7 | 西罗非哈的女儿说得有理。你定要在她们父亲的弟兄中，把地分给她们为业。要将她们父亲的产业归给她们。 | The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father's brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them. |
| 8 | 你也要晓谕以色列人说，人若死了没有儿子，就要把他的产业归给他的女儿。 | And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter. |
| 9 | 他若没有女儿，就要把他的产业给他的弟兄。 | And if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his brethren. |
| 10 | 他若没有弟兄，就要把他的产业给他父亲的弟兄。 | And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his father's brethren. |
| 11 | 他父亲若没有弟兄，就要把他的产业给他族中最近的亲属，他便要得为业。这要作以色列人的律例典章，是照耶和华吩咐摩西的。 | And if his father have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of judgment, as the LORD commanded Moses. |
| 12 | 耶和华对摩西说，你上这亚巴琳山，观看我所赐给以色列人的地。 | And the LORD said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel. |
| 13 | 看了以后，你也必归到你列祖（原文作本民）那里，象你哥哥亚伦一样。 | And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered. |
| 14 | 因为你们在寻的旷野，当会众争闹的时候，违背了我的命，没有在涌水之地，会众眼前尊我为圣。（这水就是寻的旷野加低斯米利巴水。） | For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin. |
| 15 | 摩西对耶和华说， | And Moses spake unto the LORD, saying, |
| 16 | 愿耶和华万人之灵的神，立一个人治理会众， | Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation, |
| 17 | 可以在他们面前出入，也可以引导他们，免得耶和华的会众如同没有牧人的羊群一般。 | Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd. |
| 18 | 耶和华对摩西说，嫩的儿子约书亚，是心中有圣灵的，你将他领来按手在他头上， | And the LORD said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him; |
| 19 | 使他站在祭司以利亚撒和全会众面前，嘱咐他， | And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight. |
| 20 | 又将你的尊荣给他几分，使以色列全会众都听从他。 | And thou shalt put some of thine honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient. |
| 21 | 他要站在祭司以利亚撒面前。以利亚撒要凭乌陵的判断，在耶和华面前为他求问。他和以色列全会众都要遵以利亚撒的命出入。 | And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the LORD: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation. |
| 22 | 于是摩西照耶和华所吩咐的将约书亚领来，使他站在祭司以利亚撒和全会众面前。 | And Moses did as the LORD commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation: |
| 23 | 按手在他头上，嘱咐他，是照耶和华借摩西所说的话。 | And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses. |
