| 1 | 我儿，你若领受我的言语，存记我的命令， | My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; |
| 2 | 侧耳听智慧，专心求聪明。 | So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; |
| 3 | 呼求明哲，扬声求聪明， | Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; |
| 4 | 寻找他如寻找银子，搜求他如搜求隐藏的珍宝， | If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; |
| 5 | 你就明白敬畏耶和华，得以认识神。 | Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. |
| 6 | 因为耶和华赐人智慧。知识和聪明，都由他口而出。 | For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. |
| 7 | 他给正直人存留真智慧，给行为纯正的人作盾牌。 | He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. |
| 8 | 为要保守公平人的路，护庇虔敬人的道。 | He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. |
| 9 | 你也必明白仁义，公平，正直，一切的善道。 | Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path. |
| 10 | 智慧必入你心。你的灵要以知识为美。 | When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; |
| 11 | 谋略必护卫你。聪明必保守你。 | Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: |
| 12 | 要救你脱离恶道，（恶道或作恶人的道）脱离说乖谬话的人。 | To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things; |
| 13 | 那等人舍弃正直的路，行走黑暗的道， | Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness; |
| 14 | 欢喜作恶，喜爱恶人的乖僻。 | Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked; |
| 15 | 在他们的道中弯曲，在他们的路上偏僻。 | Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths: |
| 16 | 智慧要救你脱离淫妇，就是那油嘴滑舌的外女。 | To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words; |
| 17 | 她离弃幼年的配偶，忘了神的盟约。 | Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God. |
| 18 | 她的家陷入死地，她的路偏向阴间。 | For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead. |
| 19 | 凡到她那里去的不得转回，也得不着生命的路。 | None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life. |
| 20 | 智慧必使你行善人的道，守义人的路。 | That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous. |
| 21 | 正直人必在世上居住。完全人必在地上存留。 | For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it. |
| 22 | 惟有恶人必然剪除。奸诈的必然拔出。 | But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it. |
