    Huang Hua, originally known as Wang Rumei, is born in Hebei in 1913. A translator, revolutionary and diplomat, he serves as Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China from 1976 to 1982. He dies in Beijing in 2010.

    Economist and politician Liu He is born in Beijing in 1952. A member of the Communist Party Politburo, he is appointed Vice Premier of the People's Republic of China on 19 March 2018 and heads the Financial Stability and Development Committee.

    Jiang Qing, widow of Mao Zedong, founder and paramount leader of the People's Republic of China from 1949 until his death in 1976, is sentenced to death in 1981.

    Hong Kong rapper, singer and model Wong Yuk-hei, known as Lucas, is born in 1999. Of Thai and Chinese descent, he was a member of the South Korean boy band NCT, its Chinese sub-unit WayV and the supergroup SuperM, and appears as a regular on the Chinese variety show Keep Running.
