| 1 | 七月二十一日，耶和华的话临到先知哈该说， | In the seventh month, in the one and twentieth day of the month, came the word of the LORD by the prophet Haggai, saying, |
| 2 | 你要晓谕犹大省长撒拉铁的儿子所罗巴伯，和约撒答的儿子大祭司约书亚。并剩下的百姓，说， | Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the residue of the people, saying, |
| 3 | 你们中间存留的，有谁见过这殿从前的荣耀呢？现在你们看着如何？岂不在眼中看如无有吗？ | Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing? |
| 4 | 耶和华说，所罗巴伯阿，虽然如此，你当刚强。约撒答的儿子大祭司约书亚阿，你也当刚强。这地的百姓，你们都当刚强做工，因为我与你们同在。这是万军之耶和华说的。 | Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts: |
| 5 | 这是照着你们出埃及我与你们立约的话。那时，我的灵住在你们中间。你们不要惧怕。 | According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not. |
| 6 | 万军之耶和华如此说，过不多时，我必再一次震动天地，沧海，与旱地。 | For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; |
| 7 | 我必震动万国。万国的珍宝必都运来（或作万国所羡慕的必来到），我就使这殿满了荣耀。这是万军之耶和华说的。 | And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts. |
| 8 | 万军之耶和华说，银子是我的，金子也是我的。 | The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts. |
| 9 | 这殿后来的荣耀，必大过先前的荣耀。在这地方我必赐平安。这是万军之耶和华说的。 | The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts. |
| 10 | 大利乌王第二年，九月二十四日，耶和华的话临到先知哈该说， | In the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying, |
| 11 | 万军之耶和华如此说，你要向祭司问律法， | Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying, |
| 12 | 说，若有人用衣襟兜圣肉，这衣襟挨着饼，或汤，或酒，或油，或别的食物，便算为圣吗？祭司说，不算为圣。 | If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No. |
| 13 | 哈该又说，若有人因摸死尸染了污秽，然后挨着这些物的那一样，这物算污秽吗？祭司说，必算污秽。 | Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean. |
| 14 | 于是哈该说，耶和华说，这民这国，在我面前也是如此。他们手下的各样工作，都是如此。他们在坛上所献的也是如此。 | Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean. |
| 15 | 现在你们要追想，此日以前，耶和华的殿，没有一块石头垒在石头上的光景。 | And now, I pray you, consider from this day and upward, from before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the LORD: |
| 16 | 在那一切日子，有人来到谷堆，想得二十斗，只得了十斗。有人来到酒池，想得五十桶，只得了二十桶。 | Since those days were, when one came to an heap of twenty measures, there were but ten: when one came to the pressfat for to draw out fifty vessels out of the press, there were but twenty. |
| 17 | 在你们手下的各样工作上，我以旱风，霉烂，冰雹，攻击你们。你们仍不归向我。这是耶和华说的。 | I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet ye turned not to me, saith the LORD. |
| 18 | 你们要追想此日以前，就是从这九月二十四日起，追想到立耶和华殿根基的日子。 | Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the LORD's temple was laid, consider it. |
| 19 | 仓里有谷种吗？葡萄树，无花果树，石榴树，橄榄树都没有结果子。从今日起，我必赐福与你们。 | Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you. |
| 20 | 这月二十四日，耶和华的话二次临到哈该说， | And again the word of the LORD came unto Haggai in the four and twentieth day of the month, saying, |
| 21 | 你要告诉犹大省长所罗巴伯说，我必震动天地。 | Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth; |
| 22 | 我必倾覆列国的宝座，除灭列邦的势力，并倾覆战车，和坐在其上的。马必跌倒，骑马的败落，各人被弟兄的刀所杀。 | And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother. |
| 23 | 万军之耶和华说，我仆人撒拉铁的儿子所罗巴伯阿，到那日，我必以你为印，因我拣选了你。这是万军之耶和华说的。 | In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts. |
