18/06/2018 à 13:22 - Car/Automobile Servicability: Why so difficult?
Hi,
I understand that they are more likely to be mechanically oriented, but, in the "old days" when they are more electro-mechanical instead of computer based, practically any self mechanic in a small or very rural environment. station and / or auto body shop could pretty much repair and even rebuild the car or truck from the ground up. Even a lot of everyday home mechanics can do minor and major repairs in their home garage. Nowadays, however, this has changed. There are repairs and reconstructions that require expensive and specialist computers and equipment. It does not seem fair. Also, with all the rules and regulations, if a guy wanted to drive around a 1950s style car, say a vintage gold Chevrolet Cadillac or old time Ford, With all the features of the world, it would have been easier to deal with it. Why is this and what can it be done? Example: We have a modern car, we have a broken headlight, instead of being able to get rid of a car, and screwing in the new one, something. That's not right. Thoughts? and screwing in the new one, and replacing the front end or something. That's not right. Thoughts? and screwing in the new one, and replacing the front end or something. That's not right. Please help.
